Fire brigade network practiced: 150 kilometers for the disaster!
An impressive marching exercise of the fire brigades in the Amberg-Sulzbacht district recently took place, in which 27 fire engines and 80 active forces were involved. The purpose of this exercise was to strengthen the operational readiness for disaster protection, so that everything works smoothly in an emergency.
The exercise at Dultplatz in Sulzbach-Rosenberg was started. The head of operations, district fire councilor Christof Strobl, explained the central points: "In a so -called marching column, the journey is practiced to a local location". It was important to be able to provide personnel and material support within a reasonable time, whether inside or outside of Bavaria.
important tasks in the exercise
The exercise was not only a pure journey over 150 kilometers, but also included critical elements such as the emergency refueling of the vehicles at the four special petrol stations that were provided for the disaster. The course of the staff work, the interaction of the different groups and the use of mobile warning systems were also on the agenda.
An important component was the planned “standard” assistance contingent of the city of Amberg and the district. In addition to the regular vehicles, special vehicles with additional diesel for the petrol stations were also integrated. Around 1000 liters of diesel were ready to refuel the emergency vehicles during the exercise.
coordination and timing are crucial
In order to make this exercise successfully, careful preparation was necessary. The processes for the request of the aid contingent have already been rehearsed, so that the processes between the authorities worked well. From the fictional alarm to the official alarm, numerous steps were necessary that dragged on for several days.
Matthias Viehauser, a responsible expert, emphasized the challenges of the closed association drive, since the different vehicle sizes ranged from team transporters to the large turntable ladder of the fire brigade. District Administrator Richard Reisinger (CSU) was impressed by the willingness of the firefighters to provide help in the event of a disaster.
The column went on a pre -unknown route. This led over various types of streets, including federal highways, highways and also tight country roads. A technical support was planned in Allersburg to check the level of cooperation of the entire vehicle group.
from the Dultplatz in Sulzbach-Rosenberg began the eventful journey, which led through various communities and presented the emergency services with some logistical challenges. The route stretched over Hahnbach, Schnaittenbach, Wernberg-Köblitz and other places before the destination in Amberg was reached.
At the end of the exercise, which took place in the district, the responsible operations managers praised the discipline and willingness of the fire brigades involved. The marching exercise was carried out as competent and quickly, a sign of the high commitment in the region.
