New Year's concert of the AWO: melodies for the community in Potsdam!

On Sunday afternoon, January 12, 2025, the traditional New Year's concert by the AWO local associations of Potsdam's workers' welfare took place in the Potsdam Nikolaisaal. Marianne Rehda, President of the AWO district association Potsdam, welcomed the members and in their speech emphasized the importance of the community in times of crisis.

The young brass pharmonia Brandenburg, under the direction of Endrik Salewski, presented a musical program that included pieces from Scandinavia and Great Britain. The concert is an integral part of the tradition of the AWO and regularly attracts many visitors who look forward to the musical performance.

Next New Year concert in Altötting

In a similar tradition, the AWO district association Altötting e.V. invites you to the 33rd New Year's concert, which will take place on Sunday, January 14, 2024, in the Kultur- und Kongressforum Altötting. Conductor Olivier Tardy will lead the concert, which includes works by the Strauss family, Giuseppe Verdi and Maurice Ravel.

The advance sale for the concert begins on November 2, 2023. The concert began at 3 p.m., admission from 2 p.m. The places are numbered and the admission price is 25 euros plus advance booking fees. Tickets are available from the Fraundorfner bookstore, the Altötting tourist office and at Reservix sales outlets. AWO members in the district can already request tickets to their local associations. There is no ticket sales via the AWO district association's office.
