Kastl, Deutschland - A radiant moment for TSV Kastl: Helmut Urban, the tireless fighter for sport, was honored in the Glentleiten open-air museum, in the picturesque Garmisch-Partenkirchen, with the coveted volunteer award "engaged 2024" of the BLSV sports district of Upper Bavaria! This price is only awarded to the best of the best, and Urban is definitely one of them!

With a powerful call to the importance of sport for society, district president Thomas Schwarzenberger opened the ceremony and made it clear that volunteering is irreplaceable like that of urban. Few know how strongly the challenges in the field of inclusion and integration have to be mastered - that was a clear message! Elke Baumgärtner, the deputy chairwoman of the BLSV, also joined this and praised the efforts of all volunteers.

The laudation for urban was a real catchy tune! Years ago, as a passionate youth coach and football head, he took responsibility and was finally the chairman of TSV Kastl since 2009. Under his leadership, the sports hall in Kastl was not only a building, but the pulsating heartbeat of the community! A citizens' decision had initially brought the building to a standstill, but urban didn't give up! His tireless efforts and courage to fight for the project finally led the project to the goal.

"Helmut Urban shaped TSV Kastl and lived up to new heights," said the enthusiastic words of BLSV district chairman Dieter Wüst. As a crowning glory of his services, Urban not only received a glass cup, but also a certificate of honor and delicious organic biohony! A commitment that not only changed the sports landscape in Kastl, but also touches thousands of heart!
