Selenskyj: Waffe arrest without security guarantees is amazing!

Odessa, Ukraine - Budapest/Odessa - In a dramatic appeal, the Ukrainian President Wolodymyr Selenskyj has clarified: A ceasefire with Russia is inconceivable for Ukraine without security guarantees! At a press conference in Budapest, during the summit of the European political community, Selenskyj said that lip service was not enough. "A ceasefire will come when the state that is in the war, especially the victim, knows that it will have security guarantees," said the head of state

Selenskyj sharply criticized the demands for a ceasefire, which he described as "very dangerous rhetoric". "Who are you to ask for something like that? Do your children die, will your houses be destroyed?" He asked provocatively. He pointed out that earlier ceasefire in Donbass only served as an excuse for the Russian full invasion. "Only sofa experts can ask for wars that wars only know from books," he added. International voices from Brazil and China also call for an armistice, but Selenskyj emphasized that this was irresponsible without a clear plan for the future.

Russian attacks and losses

On Thursday evening, severe Russian drone attacks occurred on the South Ukrainian port city of Odessa. Explosions shook the city and at least two people were injured. Several floors of a high -rise building were also destroyed in Charkiw, which led to at least 13 injuries. The Ukrainian Air Force warned of further attacks, while in Kiev there was an air alarm in Kiev. These attacks show that the Russian military continues to act aggressively against Ukrainian goals.

Selenskyj also called for the return of seized Russian billions from the EU to support Ukraine and buy weapons. "Can we take these 300 billion (US dollars) that belong to us?" He asked. He emphasized that the destruction in Ukraine far exceed the confiscated sums. The President also demanded tightening the sanctions against Russia and warned of the "Russian shadow fleet", which operates unhindered by EU waters.

In another worrying update, Selenskyj reported first losses among North Korean soldiers who fight in the Russian border area. "Yes, there are already losses. That is a fact," he said and asked the West to finally release far -reaching weapons against Russia. "I think that is the moment when you have to do that," emphasized Selenskyj, while in his opinion the global community does not react sufficiently.
