Future of the Krachenfels bakery secured - 210 jobs saved for the time being!

A shock for the bakery lovers! After almost 340 years in business, the traditional Krachenfels bakery has filed for bankruptcy. The long history of the company, which has been in the Black Forest since 1686, now seems to be in the end. However, Georg Krachenfels, who leads the third generation family business, does not give up: "Our goal is to strengthen and continue the Krachenfels bakery for the future."

210 employees in danger

The bankruptcy affects 210 employees whose jobs are secured for the time being. The salaries are covered by bankruptcy money, which offers employees a certain security at least in the short term. In the past few months, some branches, including locations in Villingen-Schwenningen and Trossingen, have had to close. The future of the bakery remains uncertain, and the employees worry about their jobs.

The bankruptcy of Krachenfels is not the only setback in the industry. Another large bakery chain from southern Germany recently reported bankruptcy. The bakery landscape in Germany is facing major challenges and concerns about the future of traditional companies.
