Street renovations in Villingen-Schwenningen: A year of changes!

Villingen-Schwenningen, Deutschland - In 2024, the city of Villingen-Schwenningen launched a large project for roads with extensive renovation measures. The city's infrastructure was significantly improved in a total of 37 measures. These include important streets such as Berliner Straße, Kirnacher Straße, Bertholdstraße and Kalkofenstraße in Villingen, as well as the Brandenburger Ring, Beethovenstrasse, Weilersbacher Straße and Lupfenstraße in Schwenningen. These comprehensive work should not only extend the lifespan of the streets, but also increase traffic safety, as the Black Forest Bote emphasized.

With an available conveyor framework of around three million euros, the historic town hall and Bürkstraße are also to come into focus again. One basic goal of urban planning is to strengthen the supply function of the city center and also take historical buildings into account.
