Security for Ulm's city center: City patrol fights against thefts

In the shopping city of Ulm, the alarming waves of organized loading hours cannot be overlooked. In order to put an end to this, the Ulmer City Marketing has now given the starting signal for the "City Strip" initiative! This measure should not only ensure more security in the stressful pre -Christmas period, but also set a sign against "theft tourism", which is rampant in many German cities.

A safety net was tensioned! Both characterized and hidden security personnel have been patrolling in the Ulm pedestrian zone since last week. This press release proudly announces: "Ulm is not a place for theft tourism!" City manager Sandra Walter confirms this: "We do not tolerate this nationwide trend." Together with well -known businesses such as Abt and Galeria, those responsible launched the "City Streif", which initially runs until mid -January, financed by the shops and supported by the city of Ulm.

Fast success of the "City Streif"

The first successes are not long in coming: In the first week of the patrol, the first thefts could be prevented! The “City Strip” is enthusiastically accepted by all visitors to the city center. But those responsible want more! They strive to integrate more business into the project in order to further strengthen security in the old town. Mayor Martin Ansbacher confirms that the initiative will not only benefit the merchants, but everyone in the city center - "It is our common interest to combat the alarming cases of shoplifting!"

The security company Röttinger from Erbach provides the necessary support-and also the cooperation with the Ulm police and the regulatory office is tight. The aim remains to achieve a daunting effect in order to finally ignore shoplifting in the city center! Time is pushing, and the pressure grows to exacerbate the legal consequences for thieves. A clear call, to those responsible: "It is high time for stricter punishments!", The Ulm City Marketing calls for legislators.
