Hope for Tuttlingen: makeshift bridge on the L277 comes in 2026!

The city of Tuttlingen hopes for a rescue: A makeshift bridge over the L277 near Nendingen could soon restore the flow of traffic! If the project bursts, a long detour via Neuhausen OB Eck. One thing is clear: the old bridge must be renovated by 2026 at the latest, and the pressure is growing!

The characters are good: The planning for the makeshift bridge are in full swing. The financial framework of 2.4 million euros remains, divided between the city, the state and the Freiburg regional council. "We assume that the budget will be met," emphasizes Heike Spannagel, press spokeswoman for the RP. But wait! If the costs increase over the planned funds, a partner could get out and endanger the project. The city of Tuttlingen in particular has already made it clear that it does not want to invest more than a million euros.

Crucial meeting in November

An important moment is imminent! In November there will be a crucial voting interview between the city, the RP and the district. The project will be discussed in the Environment and Transport Committee on November 20. City spokesman Arno Specht, however, remains vague: "Whether and when we advise on the bridge depends on binding statements about cost development."

The makeshift bridge is to be built a few meters south of the current building and secure the flow of traffic. An “SS80 Bridge” of the Technical Relief Agency (THW), which is 80 meters long and does not require a center pillar. Construction began for spring 2026, followed by a temporary blocking of the L277, while the makeshift bypass is created. And the people in Tuttlingen can only hope that everything will go according to plan!
