New women's choir in Tübingen: sing together and become strong!
Tübingen, Deutschland - A new women's choir has founded itself in Tübingen, which shows great enthusiasm despite the lack of singing experience. Three Tübingen women, including choreographer Odilia Damm, met online and decided to jointly launch a musical project. In a primary school, around 30 young women gather who have attached their names to their sweaters on Keppfand to vote their voices. The second choir rehearsal is in full swing: under the direction of Damm, the women sing in different voices and thus create an inviting and creative atmosphere. As in the report of swp , the choir stands as "Safe Space" for women who want to discover their passion.
an integral part of the Tübingen music landscape
The choir director Odilia Damm is also a singer of the band "Las Lanzas", which was originally launched in 2004 as a spontaneous project for the jazz and classic days. The band's style has changed over the years, and since its entry in 2009, Damm has played a major role in this development. The band combines elements from soul, pop and jazz and, on their new album "Fernweh", presents nine tastefully arranged songs that are both lyrical and powerful. The report on subculture describes the musical variety of "Las Lanzas", which are now an integral part of the Tübingen music scene.
