B 465: Construction work between Ehingen and Münsingen start on Monday!

From Monday, October 7, the federal road 465 between Ehingen and Münsingen will be completely closed for up to four weeks. This was announced by the Tübingen regional council, since the road surface in the area of the Msingen-Bremelau area has to be renewed. The affected section extends over a length of about 4.6 kilometers, starting at Ehingen-Frankenhofen to the level crossing on the K 6772 in Unterheutal.

The renewal is necessary because the road surface, which has been in operation in July 2004, now has cracks, suppression and wear. In order to avoid further damage to the layers below, the top layer, which is also known as the wear ceiling, is now being replaced. The total cost of this measure amounts to around 700,000 euros that are borne by the federal government.

limited traffic management

For truck traffic, a large-scale detour is set up, which leads via Bad Urach, the B 28 to Blaubeuren and further via the B 492 to Ehingen. Motorists, on the other hand, are guided to the B 492 from Münsingen via the L 230 to Magolsheim and then via the L 240 to Schelklingen. From Hundersingen it continues to Ehingen via the Lautertal to Indelhausen, where the road via Granheim leads to the B 465. Road users in the opposite direction are diverted accordingly.

The bus lines 331 and 7662 are also affected by the blocking, but the stops are served as usual as part of the regular timetables.

Importance of the construction measure

The regional council emphasized that the section of the B 465 was classified as in need of renovation as part of regular condition. The renewal is to improve the driving conditions and prevent later, more costly repairs on deeper asphalt layers.
