Vesperkirche 2024: New topic and exciting actions in Sigmaringen!

The Vesperkirche in Sigmaringen starts your fourth round in March and promises a free lunch for 13 days! Under the motto "People eat what he is", Pastor Matthias Ströhle and Harald Dubyk from the Johannes Ziegler Foundation prepare an exciting program. From Saturday, March 9th to Friday, March 21st, the Vesperkirche on Karlstrasse opens its doors and becomes the heart of the event in the Evangelical parish hall.

The organizers are optimistic that enough volunteers are available. So far, almost 50 volunteers have registered, but between 80 and 90 helpers are required for a smooth process. Registration takes place on the church's homepage. On the whole, the program remains unchanged, with a warm lunch in the parish hall and additional actions, including hair and medical offers as well as on-site advice centers.

innovations and support

A highlight are the new cooking courses that are intended to convey simple recipes for people with a small budget. "We are concerned with healthy eating with regional products," explains Pastor Ströhle. In addition, the fire brigade has announced its support and will take over the cooking on one day - a Swabian dish is on the menu! This collaboration shows how firmly the Vesperkirche is anchored in the Sigmaringen community.

The financing is only done by donations, since no money is required for food and drinks. The Ziegler Foundation is looking for supporters in advance and donations are being advertised during the Vesperkirche. "To make a good lap, we need 28,000 euros," says Harald Dubyk. The organizers are confident that they will achieve their goals again this year.
