Star requests: Caritas brings bright children's eyes for Christmas!

In a heart-warming act of charity, Caritas starts the popular Christmas campaign in Sigmaringen and Meßkirch, which has been causing radiant children's eyes for nine years! Preparations are in full swing, and those responsible are full of hope that many generous people are willing to prepare children in need. Especially the focus is children from families who often only find small gifts under the Christmas tree, as there is a lack of financial resources.

Just in time for Advent, Christmas trees are set up in both cities where the stars hang with the wishes of the children. Anyone who wants to help can take one of these stars and get the corresponding gift. Last year, over 300 gifts from Sigmaringen and more than 150 gifts from Meßkirch were collected - an impressive number that shows how much joy this action is!

wish list and conditions of participation

"Each child has two wishes, which should not cost more than 25 euros," explain Lisa Braun and Stefanie Thiel from the Caritas Association Sigmaringen, who will lead the action this year. Children between the ages of two and 14 can wish something, although one wish can be fulfilled per child. The Caritas employees check the need of families to ensure that the gifts really get to the right children. The wish lists have already been prepared and must be submitted by November 22 at the latest.
