Protests against emergency practice closure: Bad Saulgau defends itself!
The Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians Baden-Württemberg (KVBW) has decided to close 18 emergency practices across the country, including essential practice in Bad Saulgau. This step applies to bitter resistance on the part of the population, as a recently launched petition with rapidly increasing signatures shows.
At the weekend, the emergency practice was overcrowded. Patients like a woman with a face -frowned face are waiting for hours while Dr. Andreas Mase and his colleagues have their hands full. "It is incredibly calming to have an emergency practice nearby," says the tormented patient's wife and complains about the closure plans. Also Dr. Mase and his colleague Dr. Jürgen Selbherr are outraged: "We were not involved in these plans at all, there was no communication," criticizes Mase.
Doctors and Citizens are destroyed
The disappointment of the closure plans is enormous. Carmen Gessler, head of the DRK in Bad Saulgau, warns of overloading the emergency services. She emphasizes: "This clearly leads to an additional burden on the full -time emergency services and therefore also for us in volunteering." City Councilor Larissa Lott-Kessler, who has campaigned for the preservation of medical care for years, also expresses her concern: "For our space, this means even poorer medical care."
The closure of the emergency practice is perceived as a further blow against the already under pressure. The self -proclaimed “rescuers” from politics have made empty promises. "What became of the promised expansion of the medical care center?" Asks Larissa Lott-Kessler angrily and criticizes the "further clearing for rural areas".
At the same time, the number of signatures on the Change.org platform and approaches 15,000. Citizens are tirelessly looking for hearing and are closed against the impending closure of their emergency practice. Kirsten Holzmann, an entrepreneur from the region, recalls: "After our hospital was closed, I was glad that we at least have an emergency practice."
