Experience a voltage weekend: Oktoberfest, blues and cultural highlights!

This weekend there are numerous events in the region. The editorial team has put together a number of exciting tips that range from traditional festivals to musical performances. Here are some highlights that visitors should not miss.

First of all, it is important to mention the Oktoberfest in Ostrach, which begins on Friday, October 11th, at 5 p.m. in the Buchbühlhalle. Here the participants can show their skills at the giant kicker tournament. The entrance fee is 30 euros per team and there are prices for the most creative team outfits. On Saturday the Oktoberfest will be duly celebrated with a festive costume, whereby entry at the box office costs 15 euros.

Cultural events and music enjoyment

Another cultural highlight is Dannemann’s Blues Night, which takes place on Saturday, October 12, at 8 p.m. in the Old Church of Rulfingen. The bluesy musician Werner Dannemann will perform with a varied program that includes both his own songs and pieces of the recently deceased blues legend John Mayall. The tickets cost 18 euros at the box office, reduced 16 euros.

But that's not all: On the same day, a festival of cultures is celebrated in Sigmaringen, which begins at 11:30 a.m. and offers numerous attractions for the whole family, including a stage program with music and dance. The shops in the city center also open their doors on this open Sunday between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m.

At the end of the weekend, a nostalgic ride with a historic rail bus is also offered, which starts on Sunday at 9.13, 13.13 and 5.13 p.m. from the Aulendorf station and comprises various stops at which small attractions are offered.
