Baden-Württemberg crowns the best bricklayers and concrete builders in Sigmaringen!

On October 2, an important event for young craftsmen took place in the Bau education center in Sigmaringen. This year's Maurer state performance competition as well as concrete and reinforced concrete builders from Baden-Württemberg attracted the best talents from eight chamber districts. This event represents a climax for the newly baked journeyman. Only the most excellent graduates were allowed to face the strict requirements of a three -person examination committee in order to prove their skills.

The competition was tested exclusive practical skills to challenge the talents of the participants. The tasks were much more complex than in the regular journeyman's examination. The bricklayers had the demanding task of creating a decorative masonry with special ornamental patterns from limestone. They had to apply various techniques, including versatile joint training and staggered elements.

Requirements for the concrete and reinforced concrete builders

The challenge was a little different for the concrete and reinforced concrete builders. They had to make a precast concrete with a special shape, including beveling. Here it was not only the precision in the measure accuracy, but also on the correct implementation of all requirements. The manual skill and the ability to deal with professional formwork were particularly evaluated.

After a tension -charged exam day, the winner was determined in the evening around 7 p.m. Tom Pfeuffer from Weikersheim was able to triumph with the bricklayers. He completed his training at Norbert Hammel GmbH in Creglingen. Fabian Redetzki from Feuchtwangen was cheering for the concrete and reinforced concrete farmers. He was trained by Leonhard Weiss GmbH & Co. KG in Satteldorf. Both winners will now have the honor to take part in the federal performance competition, which will take place in Bühl from November 9th to 11th. There they compete against the best craftsmen from the other federal states.

For the participants, this competition is a valuable opportunity to measure and demonstrate their skills. The high performance density and the demanding exams reflect the high training standard in German craft. The success of the two winners are not only a personal award, but also a sign of the quality and value of the craft training in Baden-Württemberg.
