Döggingen starts: Giant solar park brings climate protection and income!
Döggingen, Deutschland - In Bräunlingen, an impressive solar park will be created that could shortly revolutionize the local energy system! The Schönau (EWS) electricity works are serious about their project and have now given the official starting signal for the newly planned large solar park. The new facility is built on an area that corresponds to 18 soccer fields directly near the already installed solar park in Döggingen. With over 26,000 solar modules, the solar park promises sustainable energy production in the next three decades.
The investment of phenomenal 10.2 million euros will supply the park with an installed output of around 16 megawatts, which corresponds to electricity production of remarkable 18 gigawatt hours. Felix Kübler, EWS project manager, describes the project as a "PV heavyweight in the region". This solar park will not only generate environmentally friendly electricity for 6000 households, but will also be a positive example of the implementation of the energy transition!
big challenges and optimism
Completion is planned for June 2025, with the construction work being taken over by the Solarcomplex company from Singen. But not everything is easy! A central obstacle is the more than seven kilometer long distance to the substation in Löffingen, to which the new system must be connected. The mains connection cable is largely laid underground so as not to disturb the landscape.
But the mood in the community remains optimistic! Georg Baum, the mayor of Döggingen, emphasizes the importance of regenerative energy generation in the region. Mayor Micha Bächle also looks positively on the land use planning: "The necessary transformation for the energy transition is made sensible and ecologically and socially compatible". With income from the lease of local areas, all citizens ultimately benefit from this future -oriented project.
