Badminton season start: SG Rottweil/Schwenningen enthusiastic with a draw!
The SG Rottweil/Schwenningen has successfully started the new badminton season and has already celebrated success in their first games. This season, the club can offer three teams, which increases enthusiasm among players and fans. The second team has secured the runner -up championship in the district league "Schwarzwald/Lake Constance" and enjoys reinforcement by new and active players. In addition, a third team was reported for the district league "Schwarzwald/Lake Constance", which further increases competitiveness.
In her first duel, the first team competed against SV Spaichingen and achieved an exciting draw with 4: 4. Despite the failure of two regular players, the team performed strongly. The women's doubles, which was contested by Julia Baur and Anne Puschner, which ended in a gripping match (22:24, 21:16, 15:21) was particularly scarce. However, the players were able to rely on other services to contribute to the tie.
strong individual services
The points for the team included a result of the strong appearances by Michael Pelz and Oliver Artz in the double and individual competitions. In the 2nd men's doubles, they were able to achieve an important victory together, which showed that the chemistry is right among the players. Particularly noteworthy should be emphasized, in which Oliver Artz competed together with Anne Puschner and was also able to contribute a point. This is also shown by the width of the team and the willingness of each individual to put themselves in the service of the team.
The fact that the team was able to achieve a draw in one of the first games despite the challenges and the missing players gives hope for a promising season. The excellent teamwork and the use of each individual could be the key to further success in the upcoming games.
These positive developments and the persistent commitment within the association speak for the great work of the trainers and the entire team. It remains to be seen how the team will beat in the course of the season, but the first signs are promising. The sports club not only focuses on regional competition, but also offers young talents a platform to prove themselves in badminton.
