Fire brigade ball in Sulzbach: honor for heroes and wet and happy night!

The Volunteer Fire Brigade Weinheim Department Sulzbach celebrated its traditional fireball last weekend. This year the event took place with a new concept and a special blue light party in the community center, which contributed to an even more festive atmosphere. In addition to fire service members and representatives of local politics, numerous citizens were present to take part in honors and musical performances that evening.

Under the direction of staff leader Rudi Neumann, the Spielmannszug of the Sulzbach and Laudenbach department opened the festival with musical sounds that greeted the guests. Department commander Patrick Sommer took the opportunity to thank the fire brigade members for their tireless efforts and especially to emphasize the role of families. "Without the support of our partners, the work in the fire brigade would not be possible," said Sommer and emphasized the value of community cooperation.

honors for long -term members

One of the most emotional moments of the evening were the honors for well -deserved firefighters. Marc Jannis Müller was awarded for ten years of active service, while Florentine Gosdzik for 20 years, Beate Mandel for 30 years and Peter Stephan were honored for 40 years. The award for chief firefighter Hermann Gahai and chief firefighter Olaf Mayer, who are proud for 50 years, was particularly outstanding.

The youth fire brigade was also a central point of the event. Youth keeper Renzo Sgobbio reported 18 active young people and 10 children who are already active in the fire brigade. The important work of the previous youth center Marius Müller and Julian Weber was recognized, as was the support of the supervisors who look after the children and young people.

In the further course, several members of the children's and youth fire brigade were awarded. Among other things, Marc Jannis Müller, Nicolas Mohr and Steffen Schmitt received the medal of honor in Bronze, while Florentine Gosdzik, Denise Sgobbio and Renzo Sgobbio were awarded silver. In this context, Hans-Joachim Gottuck was appointed an honorary member of the State Fire Brigade Association for his merits in fire service. A beautifully designed gift basket brought him the warmest congratulations on his 65th birthday, which he had recently celebrated.

On the day of the ball, some fire brigade comrades also took part in an exercise of the water support in Gaiberg. Such exercises are crucial in order to be able to work efficiently in an emergency. In addition, the support association of the Sulzbach department offered a fire extinguishing examination, which was used by many citizens, which illustrates the good connection of the fire brigade to the community.

After the official part of the evening, DJ Maddin took over the musical entertainment. With his selection, he created a ceremonial atmosphere, with the guests dancing and celebrating until the late hours. In an exuberant atmosphere, the fire brigade ball became a gratifying event that further consolidated the community between fire brigade and citizens.

The fire brigade ball in Sulzbach was not only a festival of tradition, but also a sign of the close link of the fire brigade with the population. This strong local bond underlines how important volunteering is for society and brings together people in the region.
