Tragic death of a young rmanin: Stuttgart mourns up for her life

A cruel crime shakes the region: the body of a 26-year-old woman from Rwanda was discovered on Friday, November 8th, in the Neckar near Fellbach-Oeffingen. Jean de Dieu Kamanzi from the United Nations Volunteers describes the shocking news with "deep sadness" and "incredulous lack of understanding". The young woman had been living in Stuttgart for over a year to train as a geriatric nurse. Their joie de vivre and willingness to help were known, but their dreams of a better future ended tragically when it was missing for several days.

The discovery of her body has overthrew the Rwandian community in Stuttgart in deep grief. On Tuesday, November 12th, over 20 people gathered on the landing footbridge to express their stunned and grief. The police have now started a witness call to get more information about the case. A connection with a similar death in Schwaikheim, which recently shaken the public, is excluded.

In order to honor the deceased woman, Jean de Dieu Kamanza has launched a fundraising campaign on "Gofundme". The funds are intended to serve the young woman back to her home. Her only family in Rwanda, a heavily pregnant sister, cannot travel to Germany. The Rwandian community is committed to "bringing it to rest with the dignity and love it deserves". The costs for the transfer amount to around 12,000 euros. By November 13, 4 p.m., 106 donations have already been received, which will result in a total of 3,615 euros.
