Stuttgart, November 12, 2024 - Mobile phone supply in the Ravensburg district has made a huge leap forward! Deutsche Telekom has put a new LTE location and a 5G location into operation in the past two months. Now there are a total of 109 locations that supply the region with fast internet. The cover in the area improves enormously, and the reception in the buildings also improves noticeably better. The new locations are located in Kißlegg and Leutkirch in the Allgäu and are strategically placed along the A96 motorway and the Baden-Württemberg-Süd railway line.

"The need for bandwidth grows rapidly - by about 30 percent every year! That's why we accelerate mobile phone expansion," explains Lena Raschke, company spokeswoman for Deutsche Telekom. A further 55 locations are planned by 2026, and extensions with LTE or 5G are to be carried out on 57 existing radio masts. The household cover in the district is currently 98 percent! In order to implement these ambitious plans, Telekom is dependent on the support of the municipalities and property owners in order to secure the necessary areas for new locations.

Deutsche Telekom already operates over 36,000 mobile phone locations in Germany and plans to build around 1,500 new locations annually.
