Ravensburg celebrates a political veteran! The 67-year-old CDU city councilor August Schuler was honored for his tireless work. At a solemn meeting of the local council, the members paid great respect to the native of Ravensburg and recognized his extensive knowledge of the city and its citizens. The atmosphere was electrifying when the first mayor Simon Blümcke found words of praise and Standing Ovations fulfilled the premises for Schuler's decades!
Mayor Blümcke surprised everyone by putting school-based impressive career in the spotlight: After his Abitur in the Albert-Einstein-Gymnasium, born Ravensburger decided to train at the Bundeswehr and advanced the reserve. A remarkable career! But that was not all - his passion for the earth led him to studying the earth sciences in Würzburg and Innsbruck before entering the catering and his own restaurant, the "Ratsstube" in 1984.
A life for politics
His political commitment began in 1989 and experienced ups and downs-but Schuler could not be discouraged! In 2016, he moved to the Baden-Württemberg state parliament in 2016 and successfully ran again in 2021. Schuler is known for his diplomatic approach and his desire for a harmonious coexistence in the local council. He thanked his colleagues for the collaboration.
In his speech, Schuler expressed clear wishes for the future: Better exchange between city administration and city councils and pressing solutions for the clubs looking for suitable premises. His appeal is particularly relevant for the Ravensburger to end the conflicts about rod -proof and to promote a new beginning in the cooperation between the festival commission and the administration: "We have to get together again," he emphasized.
