New station in Ravensburg: Better patient care due to the increase in care!

On October 7th, the new station of the Oberschwabenklinik in the St. Elisabethen Clinic in Ravensburg was officially opened. This development marks a significant step to improve health care in the region, especially in view of an increase in nurses within the clinic.

The new station is located on the third floor of the clinic and offers space for a total of 22 patient beds. These are divided into 15 beds for internal medical patients and seven beds for patients with cardiological diseases. This also includes an elective recording station that supplements the existing infrastructure of the clinic.

Extended capacities for the clinics

The St. Elisabethen Clinic operates two clinics for internal medicine that are already quite busy. Hospitalization is now more efficient, which benefits both gastroenterology and cardiology. Prof. Dr. Peter Klare, chief physician of internal medicine I, commented on these developments: "The opening of the new station is great progress, because with the additional beds we can fulfill patient care in the region better than before." With this expansion it enables both clinics to adequately look after more patients.

The management of the new station is in the hands of Dana Veigel and Chiara Weber. Together they made sure that commissioning is smooth. They are supported by the management team of internal medicine consisting of Margit Herrmann and Thomas Albrecht, who have made intensive preparations for the new unit.

successful recruiting program

The success of the new facility can be attributed to the committed work of the team around nursing director Swen Wendt. Together with Samuel Richter, the responsible LPPM for the A32, it has been possible to win a considerable number of nurses for the Oberschwabenklinik. With a double -digit number of newly hired nursing staff and nursing assistants, the clinic is now better positioned and can react more flexibly to the needs of the patient.

"Despite the national trend that is opposed to recruitment of nursing staff, we can successfully welcome new employees to us, speaks for the attractiveness of our clinic as an employer," said Wendt. He also emphasizes that the Upper Swabia Clinic offers a wide range of options for individual development and specialization. The support in further training is very important, so that the employees are motivated to expand their professional skills.

This positive development within the clinic landscape in Ravensburg is not only important for employees themselves, but also has far -reaching effects on regional patient care. With the creation of the new station, the Oberschwabenklinik has taken an important step to ensure medical care in the region.
