Cultural highlight in Gschwend: Mühleis stages Camus classics!
Gschwend. A change of scene of the extra class: Martin Mühleis, the former filmmaker brings a fresh air to the theater landscape! In this music winter season, two gripping pieces are on the program in his home community Gschwend, including "The first person. The return" based on the masterful novel by Albert Camus. The 67-year-old director and author changes in the footsteps of his childhood when he himself is looking for his roots. It shows that life paths can often take unexpected turns, fully influenced by fate and chance.
The roots of Martin Mühleis go back to the late 1950s when he saw the light of day in Schwäbisch Gmünd. From an early age, influenced by the great films and the art of storytelling, he decided to follow the fascinating world of cinema in the 1970s. Despite a large number of competitors, he got one of the coveted study places at a film college with flying colors. In his career he made eleven films for well -known broadcasters until a sudden stroke of fate forced him from the camera and the family business - a craft business that he led for 20 years before his heart began to beat for the stage.
Back to the stage of the arts
Martin Mühleis, since 2006 as the artistic director of the "sagas.ensemble", inspires with productions that combine acting, live music and breathtaking lighting. His pieces are not only spectator hits, but also bring literary masterpieces to the stage, always with an unmistakable style that blurs the boundaries between theater and cinema. On November 30th, he brings the play "New York, New York" with the well -known actor Christian Brückner in the Gschwend community hall. Fans of jazz and poetry can look forward to a captivating performance!
Another highlight is waiting with "The first person. The return" on March 1, 2025 in the picture house, where Wolfram Koch brings the thoughts of Albert Camus to life. Mühleis ’artistry to combine moving stories with musical elements makes its performances an unforgettable experience. The path of Mühleis turns out to be a fascinating journey through the worlds of the film and theater - and in Gschwend it becomes very tangible.
