In an impressive ceremony, 490 new champions from the area of the Ulm Chamber of Crafts received their master certificate! These freshly baked specialists are not only recognized internationally, but also in much sought -after on the job market. The master tests were taken in a variety of trades, including 86 vehicle technicians, 66 carpenters, 47 electrical engineers and 41 hairdressers. Katja Maier, President of the Chamber of Crafts Ulm, celebrated the graduates at the Congress Center Ulm: "You decided on a career in the craft and got it far!"

The master's certificate opens doors to new possibilities! Statistically, every third master graduate dares to step into self -employment within the first five years after the exam. Maier emphasized the opportunities: "In our chamber area between Ostalb and Lake Constance, there are a good 17 percent of all companies for handing over in the next few years. This is a great opportunity for you." This means that many of the new masters have the opportunity to found their own companies or to adopt existing companies.

In order to make the championship title even more attractive, the Chamber of Crafts calls for an increase in the current master premium of 1,500 euros. Tobias Mehlich, General Manager of the Chamber of Crafts Ulm, said: "The way to the championship title must be financially possible for all interested craftsmen. And, like also an education by studying, it must be free of charge for the participants." In other federal states such as Bavaria and Hesse, the premium has already been increased, and Ulm wants to follow up!
