Tragic accident on B33: two dead in frontal collision!

A tragic traffic accident on the B33 near Steinach (Ortenaukreis) asked for two lives on Friday evening. At shortly before 7 p.m., a Fiat driver got into oncoming traffic for an unknown cause and collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle of the same brand.

The dramatic scenes took place in a long right -hand bend, where the driver of the Fiat suddenly drifted to the left onto the oncoming lane. While the person who caused the accident was brought to a clinic with serious injuries, the two occupants of the other vehicle were still serious at the scene of the accident. The property damage is estimated at around 17,500 euros.

The B33 was closed until around 0.30 a.m., while emergency services from the fire brigades Steinach and Haslach as well as the technical relief organization (THW) were large -scale. A local diversion was set up to guide the traffic around the accident site. The Offenburg traffic accident service has taken the investigation into clarifying the exact cause of the accident.
