Winter lights 2025: Experience light magic in the Luisenpark Mannheim!

In the Luisenpark Mannheim, the event "Winter Lights" will take place from January 1, 2025 to February 2, 2025. Under the motto "Love and Peace", the park presents new light installations and special projections that are based on the 50th anniversary of the park. Visitors can look forward to light installations such as "Bubbleflast 75" and the "Love & Peace" water projection.

The lighting design includes the western part of the park and leads from a circular route from the main entrance to the entrance of the Lanzvilla. At various stations, including Ricks Winterdorf and the sea restaurant, the guests can expect warm drinks and culinary delicacies. In the entire event, a total of around 20 light installations and 5 light projections will be shown, which are brought to life by hundreds of headlights, projectors and energy-saving LED lights.

The opening times of the winter lights are Sunday to Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The entrance fee is € 12.50 for adults, while favored visitors pay € 9.00. Children under the age of 6 have free admission and discounted family tariffs are offered. These include, for example, € 21.00 for an adult and two children or € 33.50 for two adults and two children. Ticket prices and further information are available, but ticket sales will start at a later date.

In 2024, the event recorded a number of visitors of 68,672, in which 1,000 light sources and 10 kilometers of cables were used. The electricity consumption is around 12,000 kW, whereby the headlights are operated with an output of 40 to 80 %. The installations were set up in just four days by a team of six.

parents who have an annual ticket of the Herzogenriedpark can visit the winter lights at a reduced price. There are no family passes or other discounts at this event.
