Interview with record players: emotions, goals and the future of the SVWW!

Taunusstein, Deutschland - The SV Wehen Wiesbaden has a record player! Sascha Mockenhaupt played his 292nd game for the club on Sunday and thus written history. "At first I was annoyed because Mannheim balanced in the last minute. But then it was very emotional. I never wanted to achieve more in football than that," says the 32-year-old, who follows his career with passion and dedication. For Mockenhaupt it is not just a number, but an important milestone that he is proud of.

Mockenhaupt has been part of the SVWW for eight years and has accompanied the club through ups and downs. "Perception in the region is different. I am often addressed, now more people come to the stadium," he says. The club has developed and Mockenhaupt is an important part of this change. He wants the fans to remember him as he did with his own idols from the Bundesliga. "I could have stayed in the second division after the two descents, but I always wanted to be a player in a club that people remember."

a look into the past

Mockenhaupt's way to the professional was not always easy. After a game with his home club, he was discovered by a scout and received a contract with Kaiserslautern. "I thought I was a regular player, but then I suddenly sat on the bench," he recalls. The move to Norway to Bodø/Glimt was a turn in his career, which gave him the opportunity to develop further. "I made a semester abroad, a great time," he says with a smile.

Now that he is a record player, Mockenhaupt still has big goals. "Sure, I want to kick for a few more years! In addition to the square, my marketing agency should continue to grow." With a clear focus on the future, he remains true to the passion of football and plans to continue working in the club one day. An exciting chapter for a player who managed to make a name for himself and to conquer the hearts of fans.
