The temperatures fall, the nights are frosty - high time to raise the right tires! The ADAC also recommends that the profile should be at least four millimeters deep to get through the cold season safely.
in the workshop of Martin Feuerstein in Grünsfeld, in the Main-Tauber district, is very busy! Tire changes are carried out here in the chord, because drivers are now required to exchange their summer tires for winter tires. "Winter tires from October to Easter" - that is the classic rule that also applies this year. Despite mild temperatures in autumn, the recommendation remains to take care of the change in time to drive safely through the winter road conditions.
winter tires and punishments
There is no general winter tire obligation, but the situational obligation is clear: If you are traveling with summer tires in ice and snow, you have to expect a fine! The violation costs 60 euros, and 80 euros in the event of disabilities from other road users. There is also a point in Flensburg. Tires with just one M+S marking are no longer permitted in winter conditions-the alpine symbol is a must!
For many drivers, all -weather tires are an attractive alternative. These tires are particularly popular with city dwellers who do not want to constantly switch between summer and winter tires. But here too: the alpine symbol is mandatory! The ADAC also warns of the dangers of autumn: dirty slices and inadequate views can have fatal consequences. Drivers should be prepared for the changed conditions and be on the move!
