In the Main-Tauber district, the administrative and finance committee recently met in the district office. In this session there were, among other things, decisions on the organic pattern region and financial aspects for the DRK district association Tauberbischofsheim on the agenda. It is important that the district office has successfully applied for a subsidy for the organic pattern region, which ensures the promotion of the project a sequel until September 2027. This development was published in a press release from the district office.

The organic pattern region is looked after by regional managers, which are now reinforced by Manuela Schnurr. Together with Stefan Fiedler, you will work on promoting the various initiatives of the project. A central goal is to develop a marketing concept in order to bring the regional organic farms and their products more into the focus of the public. In workshops, strategies are being developed to help realize these projects.

Financial support for disaster protection

Another main topic of the session concerned the financial situation of the DRK district association Tauberbischofsheim. The association plays a crucial role in civil protection, but is faced with a deficit of around 63,000 euros. This minus is partially due to the costs that cannot be fully covered by state grants. In order to reduce the financing gap, the committee decided to ensure a district grant of 20,000 euros to ensure the life capability and performance of the DRK in disaster protection.

The head of the district development, Ursula Mühleck, also informed about the current status of mobile phone expansion in the district. It emphasized the importance of a nationwide mobile phone supply not only for the citizens, but also for economic activities and the security facilities in the district. Mühleck presented the current status of the network coverage and the planned expansion projects of the telecommunications companies. In particular, the changes in the state building regulations, which have been in force since June 2023, should facilitate the development of the mobile network.
