Insolvency shock for WE-Flytour: 1500 travelers in Turkey affected!

A shock for vacationers! The tour operator WE-Flytour, who only opened its doors in September 2023, is faced with bankruptcy! On November 25th, the company, which specializes in Turkey, will register bankruptcy. The reason? A sudden withdrawal of the payment service provider Tested from Munich, which led to massive liquidity problems. No payments could be collected for over two months, while WE-Flytour continued to provide all travel services. The result: sales partner jumped off and the financial situation escalated!

1500 travelers in danger!

The situation is dramatic! Around 1,500 travelers are currently caught in holiday areas, especially in Turkey and Egypt. WE-Flytour has canceled all the trips that should begin up to and including November 26th. But there is hope: the booking packages booked are secured via the German travel security fund (DRFS). This means that the holidaymakers who are still abroad can come home safely or continue their vacation!

The reimbursement for the cancellation travel is also regulated by the DRFS. The customers concerned are contacted as soon as all return campaigns are completed. For travelers who are in Turkey, emergency numbers are available to receive support. The emergency is alarming, but the help is in sight! Vacationers can contact the DRFS hotline, which can be reached from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. It remains to be seen how the situation develops, but the drama of this bankruptcy is obvious!
