Greens rely on climate protection: Brantner speaks about the future of school!

At the first day of the party congress of the Rhineland-Palatinate Greens in Idar-Oberstein, decisive course was set for the future of the party. The new federal chairman Franziska Brantner, who won the direct mandate for Heidelberg in 2021, gave a rousing speech in which she made it clear that climate protection and investments had to be a top priority. She emphasized: "The belt tight, if the pants are already missing," and called on her party colleagues to actively mobilize in the upcoming election campaign for the early Bundestag election on February 23. In the first vote at the party congress, the state chairwoman Natalie Cramme-Hill and Paul Bunjes were confirmed in their offices, while Member of the Bundestag Misbah Khan was elected to the top position on the state list, as the n-tv.de reported.

Felix Banaszak, who is now Brantner's co-chair, made it clear that the Greens have to face the worries of the citizens. "Our party should be a place of hope to improve the quality of life for everyone," says Banaszak. The new federal board was elected at the party congress, with Brantner and Banaszak, who previously worked as the state chief of the Greens in North Rhine-Westphalia, overwhelming approvals. Brantner received 78.15% of the votes and Banaszak even 92.88%. The party leadership has big plans for the future: "We are fighting ourselves again," she appealed, while emphasizing that climate protection is the key to a strong economy, such as the Tagesschau.de supplemented.

on the election campaign!

The Greens prepare for an intensive election campaign in which they want to take a clear position. Banaszak underlined the need to not only be perceived as a “corrective” of the government, but as a driving force to enforce one's own ideas and concepts. Brantner, who also continues to work as a Parliamentary State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Economics, would like to position the Greens as a strong political alternative range and work closely with their team around Foreign Minister Robert Habeck and Annalena Baerbock. In the announcement of the upcoming challenges, the election program is to be adopted on January 26th.
