The end of an era: Photo Lenz in Schifferstadt closes forever!

Martina Lenz closed the photo studio "Photo Lenz" in Schifferstadt after 40 years. The last opening day of the studio was December 19, 2024, and the last picture was taken shortly before Christmas. Martina Lenz took over the business in 1985, which her father founded in 1968. She grew up in the photo shop and started training as a photographer at the age of 16.

In her studio, Lenz took millions of pictures, including numerous pictures of bridal couples, children and passport photos. Pass photos have recently been asked after the demand in corona pandemic was reserved. Martina Lenz also had prominent customers, such as the former football professional Olaf Marschall. In addition, she was one of the first in the region to introduce digital photography, already from 1997.

takeover of the business

Derya Gedik will take over the business from January 2024. Martina Lenz plans to register as a guest at the Heidelberg University to study geosciences. In addition, she wants to get involved in the Schifferstadter neighborhood aid and sings in the choir da Capo 1854. Despite the closure of the studio, she retains her photo equipment, but plans to use a small compact camera for the vacation.
