125 years of USC Heidelberg: An evening full of stars and basketball gloss!

A spectacular festival in the royal hall of Heidelberg Castle: The USC Heidelberg celebrated its impressive 125th anniversary on Monday evening! The celebrations that decrease on the founding of the Academic Sports Club (ASC) Strasbourg on November 18, 1899 attracted almost 200 guests, including the popular comedian Bülent Ceylan, who immediately captivated the audience with his charming speech.

The event, moderated by the well -known stadium spokesman Mike Diehl, offered a firework of entertainment. The Capella Carolina vocal ensemble opened the evening, followed by the rousing performances by Sandra Groove and Haribow, who delighted the audience outside the Mannheim mirror tent. A special highlight was the musical contribution of Enjoy Jazz, which impressively underlined the connection between basketball and music-in the sense of basketball legend Dirk Nowitzki: "Basketball is jazz".

An emotional highlight was the legend interview with the former stars Harald Rupp, Didi Keller and Shy Ely, who reviewed the glorious history of the USC Heidelberg. However, the evening was not only a review, but also an outlook: the 8-year-old young player Moritz Mecher symbolized the future of the club. All donations of the evening benefit the youngsters, and the handover of the donation check will take place at the next home game on November 30th in the SNP Dome.

The motto "W up. At the final raffle, Anne and Paul Zipser made it laugh when Paul pulled himself as a winner. The MLP Academics Heidelberg thank all supporters for this unforgettable evening, which impressively staged the connection between history and future.
