Millions for road construction: Göppingen district is planning large renovations!
In the district of Göppingen, there are massive investments in the street infrastructure: Around six million euros will be planned for the renovation and expansion of the district roads next year. The district expects grants of 1.6 million euros. This was decided in the updated road construction program, which was presented to the environmental and transport committee of the district council, such as StaufenPress reported. It is noteworthy that the bypass of Donzdorf is no longer the responsibility of the district, but is now managed as a federal road.
cost increases put infrastructure projects under pressure
In the district of Haßberge, on the other hand, the situation among the road construction projects looks far less rosy. After a four -year break, the construction committee of the district council carried out a road travel and noticed alarming cost increases. The expenses for road construction had to be corrected upwards because prices have almost doubled in the past twelve years, such as Franconian day reported. The head of the civil engineering management, Alfons Schanz, emphasized that the previous financial approaches for the expansion are not sufficient, and demanded that the funds increase up to 350,000 euros annually.
The plans for the full expansion of roads are particularly important, the costs of which could now be between 3 and 3.5 million euros. However, there is an example of positive developments: Dippach is created in Dippach, which was made possible by the purchase and demolition of two houses. This measure should be completed by the end of the year and ensure that pedestrians are more secure. Nevertheless, the ongoing cost increases are a major challenge for the future transport infrastructure in the region.
