Kurt tax increases: Friedrichshafen increases fees for tourists from 2025!

Attention, vacationer! Friedrichshafen becomes more expensive! The local council has decided to increase the tourist tax from January 1, 2025. Adults have to pay 30 cents in the main season and 20 cents more per day in the low season. The prices are also increasing for children and adolescents: 15 cents more in the high season and 10 cents in the low season. For families, this means that the vacation on Lake Constance will go properly!

The new tourist taxes are a real shock! Adults will pay 2.80 euros per day in the high season in the high season, while children and adolescents have to shell out 1.40 euros. In the low season, prices decrease to 1.70 euros for adults and 85 cents for the little ones. But that's not all: the annual virants are also raised! 84 euros are now due for second homes, permanent camping spaces cost 70 euros and boat lounger 42 euros.

Another hit: The liberation from the tourist tax on private trade fairs is canceled! This means that trade fair visitors have to dig deeper into the pocket. However, professional overnight stays remain freed from the tourist tax. From 2025 there is also no reporting obligation for German citizens, while foreign guests still have to register. And if accommodation companies do not report their number of guests, the municipality can estimate the tourist tax - that could cause many surprises!
