Cooking connects: German-Ukrainian event inspires in Salach!

Salach, Deutschland - In Salach, 20 enthusiastic participants experienced an unforgettable cooking event that blew up the boundaries between cultures! Under the motto "Cooking in Friendship", the cooking enthusiasts gathered in the Staufeneck School to prepare delicious pumpkin gnocchi together with the renowned star chef Rolf Straubinger and the talented Ukrainian cook Olga Zubova. A festival for the senses that not only delighted the palate, but also touched the hearts!

The integration officer of the municipality of Salach, Kirsten Helmecke, opened the workshop with inspiring words: "Essen is always part of our identity and our history." Mayor Dennis Eberle added: "Cooking and eating connects and is a language that everyone understands." Under his patronage and the volunteer direction of Straubinger, which was supported by his son Lorenz, the participants went on a culinary journey that celebrated the variety of German-Ukrainian cuisine.

The atmosphere was electrifying when the participants were equipped with aprons, vegetables snapped, kneaded dough and the aromas of the different ingredients lay in the air. The workshop was part of the project "Mine. Yours. Our home?!", Which aims to promote a climate of tolerance and coexistence.
