A real exchange about the challenges and successes in mental health care!

The GPV was launched two decades ago to ensure that people with mental illnesses who rely on complex support to ensure help close to home and needs. But times change! The speakers of the specialist day took a critical look at the current challenges, in particular the upheavals triggered by the Federal Participation Act (BTHG). "Today's requirements for a new approach and a determined cooperation," Sabine Gnert-Kroner, Chairman of the Speaker in the Bodenseekreis, called.

Andreas Ullrich, deputy spokesman for the speech, emphasized the urgency of combating the stigmatization of mental illnesses and making help for everyone accessible. "We have to assume the most affected by the needs of those affected," he warned, because there is nothing more important than an individual and close -up care. The challenges are numerous; Dr. Raoul Borbé, head of the community psychiatry department, asked the essential question of responsibility for patients outside the clinic: "Where does real encounter take place?"

Manne Lucha, Minister of Social Affairs, made hearts beat faster in a video message with thanks and recognition for the pioneering work in the GPV. "In times when many still neglected, the question of care remains a political requirement!" An urgent appeal to everyone involved, not to be released in the beginning and use resources in the best possible way!

The success of the GPV is also evident in the active cooperation of all network partners. Dieter Schax, chairman of BAG GPV, described the associations as no less as a lighthouses of hope. "We are growing!" He called out and made the importance of quality in care clear in order to continue to fight for the needs of those affected!
