Televisite starts: Revolutionary health care in the Lake Constance district!

A groundbreaking health project takes shape! The Bodenseekreis district office has been awarded the contract for the introduction of the Televisite in care facilities. An innovative pilot project is started together with partners to revolutionize health care!

From the end of November 2024, the Televiisite will be tested in three inpatient care facilities, an outpatient care service, specialized outpatient palliative care (SAPV) and six medical practices in the Lake Constance district. Until December 2025, the test phase will be accompanied by experts from the health office in order to establish the televisite as an integral part of health care.

What is the Televisite?

The Televiite enables medical care via video transmission - fast and flexible! Doctors can communicate directly with care facilities via tablets. This offers numerous advantages: quick access to medical expertise, efficient reaction to patient needs and relief for care facilities by means of transport costs.

An example from practice: A nursing home in the home with chronic complaints receives medical care via video. While the nursing staff measures vital values, the doctor discusses the state of health in real time. In this way, treatment recommendations are given quickly and efficiently - without long travel paths!

Regional implementation and outlook

The test phase takes place in care facilities and medical practices in Meckenbeuren, Kressbronn, Neukirch, Deggenhausertal and Friedrichshafen. The project has total costs of around 366,000 euros, with the state of Baden-Württemberg promoting around 330,000 euros. The first devices are to be delivered by the end of November 2024, with the aim of gradually integrating the televisite into regular care.
