Televisite starts in Lake Constance: Revolutionary care via video!

Meckenbeuren, Deutschland - In the Bodenseekreis, a groundbreaking pilot project is launched for the Televisite! The district office has successfully applied for promoting the state of Baden-Württemberg in order to introduce digital medical care in care facilities. Together with three inpatient care facilities, an outpatient care service and six medical practices, the Televisite should start the test phase at the end of November 2024.

The Televisite revolutionizes medical care! Through video transmissions, patients, such as nursing home residents with chronic diseases, can be conveniently cared for by their tablet. Doctors receive immediate information about the health status of the patient, while nursing staff records important vital data such as blood pressure and oxygen saturation. These real -time data enable quick and precise treatment without need for long travel paths. Not only is the response time shortened to health problems, but also the organization of visits to the doctor is significantly simplified.

a strong team for the test phase

The test phase will last until December 2025 and comprises several care facilities and medical practices in cities such as Meckenbeuren, Kressbronn and Friedrichshafen. The project is supported by two health scientists from the district administration. With total costs of 366,000 euros, the majority of which is used for technical devices, the country is participating in this innovative project with around 330,000 euros.

"The Televisite is an important component for modern health care, especially in rural areas," emphasizes District Administrator Luca Wilhelm Prayon. This pilot project could sustainably improve medical care on site and revolutionize access to specialists. The first devices are to be delivered to the facilities by the end of November to gradually integrate the televisite into regular care.
