Young talents shine: 10 craftsmen from Ulm qualified for the federal championship!

A triumph of the talent! Young craftsmen from the Ulm region caused a sensation at the German Championships at the state level. In a gripping competition, 22 outstanding young people competed in various trades, including gunsmith, tailor and saddler. The result? Ten of them have qualified as the best journeyman across Baden-Württemberg and are now ready for the next challenge: the Federal Championships!

The President of the Chamber of Crafts Ulm, Katja Maier, cheered on the success: "I am happy for our excellent young craftsmen! The citizens between Ostalb and Lake Constance can look forward to highly qualified national champions." The Minister of Economic Affairs Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut was enthusiastic and congratulated the national winners: "They are now among the most sought-after specialists in the country. They can be proud of that!"

Distribution of the state winners-a sign of diversity

The successes of the ten national winners are distributed over several circles: three talents triumphed in the Lake Constance district, while the Alb-Donau district and the Ostalb district each provide two national winners. The district of Ravensburg, the district of Biberach and the city district of Ulm are also represented among the winners. In addition, ten more young craftsmen secured second place, while two achieved third place.

The German championship in the craft is a stage for the best of the best. Around 130 trades are represented and the participants must pass their journeyman's examination with at least "good". Such an impressive result would not have been possible without the committed training companies. "The trainers not only form the art of craftsmanship, but also the personalities of the trainees," emphasized Maier. The region is now looking forward to the federal championships, the next stage on the way to the national top!
