Unique and indispensable! The RegioBus 700 connects the cities of Constance and Ravensburg and ensures an hourly connection from Monday to Friday and on weekends. This line is not only one of the most frequented in the Lake Constance region with around 900 passengers every day, but also offers a spectacular crossing over Lake Constance, which only takes 15 minutes, while a trip along the bank would take a full 55 minutes!
But there are problems on the horizon! Due to the introduction of the Germany ticket, the costs for the ferry increase, which endangers the financial Situation of the transport company Rab. The country's current funding expires on December 14th, and those responsible are under pressure. The three counties demand a seamless continuation of this connection, which is not only important, but also unique!

The district administration currently leads intensive price negotiations with the Stadtwerke Konstanz to secure stable tariffs for the ferry. A funding application for the next five years has already been submitted to the state's Ministry of Transport and is currently being examined. The administration and the district council are optimistic and calculate with a continuation of the 700 line, which is of great importance for the Lake Constance district!
The costs for the district, minus the proceeds, could amount to around 816,000 euros. The future of this important bus connection is on the brink, and all eyes are aimed at the negotiations and the decision of the Ministry of Transport!
