New advisory meeting in Biberach: Inclusion and exchange in focus!
On Friday, September 20, the new advisory meeting at the Bishop Prosd-Forming Center was inaugurated in Biberach-Rißegg. After intensive three years of planning and implementation, this new meeting point opened, which was designed as an inclusion -oriented project and was created in cooperation between different institutions. These include the BSBZ Biberach-Rißegg, the SBBZ see Baindt, the TB advice center of the EUTB Biberach as well as the foundations of St. Franziskus and that of the Catholic Free School of the Diocese of Rottenburg-Stuttgart.
The initiative for this meeting point was born from the need to offer specialists, experts and relatives a platform for exchange, advice and further education. Alexandra Gaiser, the principal of the elementary and Werkrealschule at the Bishop-Proll training center, explained that the main goal of the project is to create an environment for inclusion and consulting teachers as well as special educators in order to carry out diagnoses and consultations. For relatives and those affected, the meeting point should offer an easily accessible contact point for questions about inclusion, participation, impairments and disabilities.
modern facilities for comprehensive consultations
In the past few months, the premises in the school complex of the Bischof-Proll training center have been fundamentally redesigned in order to meet the requirements of the new range of advice. The rooms can now be used in many ways and include a specialist library with test collections and jobs. Specialists have also received retreat for case advice or supervisions. The bright, technically modern rooms also offer the opportunity for parents and external teachers to use advice or to take part in further training and specialist conferences.
dr. Marcus Adrian, the director of the SBBZ with boarding school in Baindt, confidently commented on the advantages of the new advisory offer. He emphasized that the advisory meeting point for everyone involved would be a valuable enrichment. The networking of external teachers, therapists and interested parties promotes an interdisciplinary exchange that is intended to improve the quality of the advice and further drive inclusion.
This development not only contributes to the professionalization of the advisory services, but also gives the affected themselves and their relatives a voice in the inclusion debate. A central concern of the project is to convey a belonging to those affected and enable them to actively participate in society. More on this can be found in the detailed report www.schwaebische.de .
