Biberach: 90,000 euros for mobile child social work - a ray of hope for children!

As part of a significant Initiative, a total of 90,000 euros will be provided for the “Kischufant” project over the next three years, which is dedicated to mobile child social work. This decision, which goes back to a unanimous approval of the Biberach community foundation, enables comprehensive support for endangered children between the ages of six and 13. This information comes from a report by Schwäbische Zeitung .

The project with the creative name "Kischufant", which represents a connection between child protection and the symbol of the blue elephant, aims to offer children up to the age of 14 who are in problematic life situations. The financing is made up of contributions from the Bruno Frey Foundation, which provides 50,000 euros annually, and 30,000 euros from the Biberach community foundation. According to the Child Protection Association, it is essential that these children receive low-threshold, open and free support in order to stabilize their situation and promote age-appropriate development, according to the team board member Sonja Sälzle in an article on the website of Child protection association Biberach . The increasing number of children who act in public due to school problems and family conflicts is particularly alarming. Experts of the Jugend Association actively report on risky behavior that is typical of older young people. Therefore, the Kischufant project is of crucial importance, because it will also need a social pedagogical specialist who functions as a link between the children concerned and the offers of help. This expected the start date for the pilot project is January 2025, and there will be various support offers, including streetwork, social group work and individual aid to support the children concerned holistically.
