Advent magic in Altheim: bazaar with mulled wine and good purposes!

On Saturday, November 23, Altheim becomes the setting for the festive Advent bazaar! Between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m., visitors can acquire handmade arrangements and wreaths for the contemplative Advent and Christmas season. But that's not all! The creative women of the community also offer knitted, handicrafts, delicious jam and sweet honey. The rural youth with punch and mulled wine as well as the music club, the bratwurst and waffles are sold for the culinary delights. A festival for all the senses!

The committed Gertrud Achtter organizes this popular bazaar for the 33rd times. The sale used to take place in front of the church, then behind the old school and finally in the Martinshaus. Now the Advent bazaar has found its perfect location: the new premises next to the town hall not only offer space for the preparations, but also for sociable meetings during the sale. A place that brings the community together!

a good purpose in focus

The proceeds from the sale of festive decoration benefit a “good cause” every year. Gertrud Achtter proudly reports that 400 euros were donated to the Daily Supply Altheim and 200 euros to the Riedlingen hospice group last year. The Musikverein also contributes to the good cause: the excess from the sausage and waffle sale flows into its own youth care. A Christmas market that not only brings joy, but also does good!
