Ehinger hydrogen project: the way to the green energy supply!

In the course of the ambitious “H2-Hi” project, a center for the production of green hydrogen will be created in Ehingen, which is intended to serve as a fuel for buses and trucks. The Alb-Donau-Kreis supports this initiative, which is considered an essential part of the energy transition. District Administrator Heiner Scheffold emphasized that hydrogen not only serves as an emission -free alternative to fossil fuels, but also offers the opportunity to store excess energy from renewable sources. This happens through the operation of a 1 MW electrolyser that is operated with green electricity. Citizens' Dialogue and regional partnerships

At an event of the association "H2 Change", more than 100 citizens discussed the hydrogen project and its importance for the region. Managing Director Michael Bächler emphasized the need to include citizens in the process and to develop exciting projects to support the energy transition.
