The newly elected board is now made up of Thomas Haas as a deputy senior master and several members, including Sven Oppold from Westhausen and Christian Kienle from Neresheim. In addition, Tobias Abele and Thomas Eberhard were named as auditors. The community and the collegial exchange within the guild are essential to represent the interests of the craft and to secure the quality in the construction system. In this context, Zimmerer-Ginung Aalen also equipped 45 new trainees with the so-called 'perennial', a traditional flower-white shirt that is part of the carpentry work clothes and symbolically stands for the profession. The focus on the importance of traditional clothes was underlined by Martin Bühr, senior master of the carpenter guild Schwäbisch Gmünd. He explained that the gap is not only practical and robust, but also contributes to adequately representing the profession. This step towards strengthening identity and community in the craft forms a solid basis for the future of carpentry guild in the region.
