In Aalen, the anger is bubbling! While the city is promoting the fiber optic expansion, the districts of Fachsenfeld and Waldhausen fall by the wayside. CDU City Councilor Nadine Patzelt made it clear in a heated meeting of the cultural, education and finance committee (KBFA): "This is unacceptable!" The citizens of these districts feel abandoned by the telecommunications company TNG after the good news has moved far away via fast internet.

tng, the private provider, plans massive investments of 57 million euros in the broadband supply of Aalen. But reality looks different! TNG managing director Bernd Sontheimer recently announced in the local councils that the two districts will go out empty for the time being. The disappointment is great, because the residents have hoped for a future -proof internet connection that is now a unfulfilled promise. Sontheimer justifies the decision with an economic aspects: in Fachsenfeld and Waldhausen there are mainly individual houses, and the uncertainty about the willingness of the citizens is too great. Expansion is only worthwhile with a participation of 55 to 60 percent of the residents.

The Aalen CDU parliamentary group is alerted and demands clear answers from the top of the city. Patzelt reminds that the contract with TNG provides for a nationwide expansion for the entire city. "Are there alternatives for Waldhausen and Fachsenfeld?" She urges. Mayor Frederick Brütting has already brought some options into play: either TNG is convinced of the urgency, or the city will find another provider for the expansion. The possibility of becoming active even with grays from the gray sperm promotion program is also up for debate.
