350 runners defy rain in the 10th AOK Schwäpo company run in Aalen!

Despite the adverse weather conditions, around 350 runners from 33 companies came to Aalener Rorhwang on Tuesday to contest the 10th AOK Schwäpo company run. In pouring rain, the participants showed their unshakable team spirit and their sporting motivation by mastering the route together.

The managing director of AOK, Hans-Joachim Seuferlein, opened the event and welcomed the running enthusiasts. Organizer Jens Manz found that the weather was not optimal, but the good mood of the participants was not affected. In order to defy the weather conditions, many runners grabbed snacks at the information stands and merged rain ponchos to be well prepared.

The starting shot was given on time at 5 p.m. First, the 6.5 kilometers of runners set off, followed by the nine-kilometer runners and then the walkers who completed the 6.5 kilometers route. The focus was not on the time measurement, but the joint fun and the exchange between the companies. "There are no losers, this is about joy," said Regina regional from the Samaritan pencil.

A highlight for many was the entry into the stadium, where they were received by colleagues. Laura Wettemann von Mapal proudly expressed: "I am happy to have made it." Benno Tilk from Franke GmbH also found the route feasible and could also be motivated by the weather. The participation of Hans-Joachim Seuferlein in the nine-kilometer round underlined AOK's commitment to actively support the event. He described the run as an excellent opportunity to network with other companies.
