Luxury civil servants: Entrepreneurs bleed in the economic crisis!

The freedom economy warns of the worrying economic situation in Austria. As The press no longer applies to pension payments, which for 2024 to around 123.5 billion euros be estimated. Around 30 billion euros of this sum flow into the financing of the current pensioners, which Austria gives high expenses for pensions in international comparison.

The state pension is based on the levy procedure, which is around 92 percent of the financing. In combination with the additional pension options, which make up only small shares, the dependence of the system on the continuous contributions of the employed people can be seen. The design of the pension system is increasingly perceived by citizens as scandalous, especially in view of the prevailing inflation and the difficulties in the private sector.

overall change in the demographic situation

The demographic development of Austria offers another context of these challenges. According to the data of Statistics Austria , it is expected that the number of over 65-year-olds will increase from 1.7 million to 2.8 million. This change has far -reaching consequences for the pension systems that will be under growing pressure.

Current statistics show that the actual pension in Austria is below the OECD average. Men retire on average at 61.6 years and women at the age of 60.9. Nevertheless, it must be taken into account that life expectancy is increasing: it is currently 84 years for women and 79 years for men. Forecasts indicate that these values will increase to women for women and 87 years for men by 2060.

In view of the current portrait of the economic situation, Burger expresses his confidence that entrepreneurs should merge in order to demand immediate prioritization of the needs of the private sector. The disaster, which is currently a reality for many entrepreneurs, could only change if the government is ready to rethink its policy in the direction of a more fairer and more efficient distribution of resources.
