ÖSTERREICH - From October 1, 2025, access to the digital platform Finanzonline will only be possible via 2-factor authentication. The Federal Ministry of Finance announced this and thus underlines the continued trend to improve security in the digital financial sector. For everyone who cannot use ID Austria, an alternative authentication method will be available that can be activated directly in Finanzonline.
